Boruch Dayan Haemes – HaShlucha Chaya Mushka Stiefelmann OBM

With profound sadness and deep pain we inform you of the untimely passing of Chaya Mushka Stiefelmann, a young Chabad-Lubavitch emissary and mother of four who served the Jewish community in Sao Paolo, Brazil, passed away on Sunday. She was 28 years old.

She was born in Rio de Janeiro to Rabbi Avraham Meir and Margalit Berkes, and moved to Sao Paolo following her marriage to Rabbi AvrohomStiefelmann. She and her husband served the Knesset Israel community in the city, and she was co-director of the CTeen network there, creating and supervising programs and activities for Jewish teens.

She is survived by her husband, their children, and by her parents and siblings.

The funeral took place today in SaoPaulo.

With profound sadness and deep pain we inform you of the sudden and untimely passing of HaChossid HaTomim Rabbi Moshe Weiss, OBM, of S. Paul, Minnesota. He was 41.

For five years he worked tirelessly for the Yeshiva High School of the Twin Cities. He was also a recipient of the Torah Umesora teacher of the year award. In business matters he invented the SoundBender for Ipads and was featured on Shark Tank.

The levaya took place on Monday @  Gemilus Chesed Cemetery in Richfield, Minnesota.

The father of five children. He was a dedicated and beloved shliach, rabbi of a United Synagogue and then director of Youth Programming for Lubavitch of London for the past twelve years.

With sadness  we inform you of the passing of HaChossid, Rabbi Mordechai Zvi ben Yosef Chaim Sufrin of London, UK. He was 79 years old.

A world renowned speaker and educator for over fifty years, Rabbi Sufrin  touched many with his depth, passion, inspiration and his signature sense of humor.

He was the founder of Keren Menachem and Keren Chanah that helped  help boys and girls with tuition for their Yeshivahs / Seminaries all around the world.

The Levayo will take place TODAY at 6:15 pm from 36 Ashbourne Avenue NW11 and then will proceed to Eretz Yisroel.

The family will be sitting Shiva  in London at 36 Ashbourne Avenue. Times of davening etc. will follow when available.

Israel's Former President and Prime Minister, Mr. Shimon Peres has passed away. He was 93 years old.

Three years ago prior to the Kinnus HaShluchim, Peres praised the emissaries of the Chabad Lubavitch hasidic movement as reported by Arutz-7 at the time. Referring to the Rebbe, Peres noted, in a recorded video message, "The advice of the rabbi, his will and the commandment of the Jewish people is to continue to exist as a people," adding that "we have our own state [and] we have returned to our country , but only half of our people live in Israel. The other half is scattered in many places in the world and you arrive as pioneers everywhere, as people who establish a community, as people who save souls (lives), as people who teach the Torah of Israel, sometimes under very difficult conditions and sometimes in conditions of mortal danger."

With sadness we inform you of the passing of Rabbi Sholom Ber Schneerson OBM, a Rov who had a Shul in his home in Flatbush. He was 84 years old.

During his father – Rabbi Schneur Zalman Schneerson’s – time in Paris, France they merited to host Rebbetzin Chana, the Rebbes mother, in 5707. After his passing the Rebbe attended his Levaya and traveled all the way to the Beis Hachayim..

For years he ran a Shul, Congregation Beth Schnay-Or, in his home.

He is survived by - yibodlu l'chaim tovim - his wife Shaina and their children R’ Yossi Schneerson (Los Angeles, CA), R’ Mendy Schneerson (Crown Heights) and Chaya Herzog (Crown Heights).

He is also survived by his sister Mrs. Hadassa Carlebach (Crown Heights).

The levaya took place on Thursday.

She is also survived by siblings.

With sadness we inform you of the passing of Esther Bas Boruch Yehuda Leib Silverstein  of Borough Park, NY  who passed away at 91 years of age early Monday morning October 24th Chof Beis Tishrei Shemini Atzeres.
She was the daughter of Basha Freid, cousins to Ansbacher, Borenstein, Hendel, Freid, and the Tennenbaums of Montreal and Crown Heights.
She is survived by her four children: Ira Silverstein- Manhattan, New York ; Joyce Toub Albany, New York ; Devorah Baila Spadone- Cleveland, Ohio and Neil Silverstein- Los Angeles, California.
The levaya will take place in Brooklyn, New York on Thursday at 11:00 AM starting at the Norman Jeffer Chapel 3803 14th Ave. Brooklyn, NY continuing to the Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, NY.
Shiva will be held at 838 West End Ave Apt # 2C on Thursday. Devorah Baila Spadone will be sitting shiva Motzei Shabbos thru Wednesday in her home in Cleveland, Ohio.

Boruch Dayan Haemes – Mrs. Sara Esther Feigelstock OBM

Sara Esther Feigelstock, an early pioneer of Jewish education in North America, passed away Oct. 25 in Montreal. She was 85 years old.

She was born in 1932 to Alter Yehoshua and Hinda Golda Winter in the Western Pennsylvanian city of McKeesport, where she was raised in a home steeped with devotion to Torah study and Torah observance. Her father worked hard as a dry-goods peddler, a job that allowed him not to work on Sabbath and Jewish holidays. Even though the Winters were the only Jewish children on her block, they were proud of their Judaism and eager to share it with other local Jews.

“I remember my mother crying when she lit Shabbos candles and praying that all her children remain Jewish,” she recalled in a 2010 interview with JEM’s “My Encounter with the Rebbe” project. “I didn’t understand why my mother cried about that, but she was clearly aware that our environment was a breeding ground for assimilation.” continue...

With sadness  we inform you of the passing of HaRav HaChossid Rabbi Shimon ben Shmuel Zanvel Goldman of Crown Heights. A longtime resident of Crown Heights and member of Agudas Chassidei Chabad, he helped an untold number of people through the "Keren Gmilas Chassadim Shomrei Shabbos" which he ran. He was 91.

The niftar is survived by Yibadlu Lechaim Tovim his children: Rabbi Yossi Goldman - South Africa, Rabbi Shmully Goldman - Crown Heights and Kraindy Klein - Crown Heights.

Rabbi Goldman was predeceased by his wife Esther and daughter Chanchy Bruk.

With  sadness we inform you of the passing of HaRav HaChossid Avraham Moshe Goldberg of Tzfas. He was 72.
He was a shliach in Haarlem Netherlands for over 15 years, and Chaplain of the Dutch prison system.
After moving to Israel due to his illness, he devoted his time learning with people. His house was open for anyone and many enjoyed shabbos meals in his home.
