With profound sadness and deep pain we inform you of the untimely passing of Chaya Mushka Stiefelmann, a young Chabad-Lubavitch emissary and mother of four who served the Jewish community in Sao Paolo, Brazil, passed away on Sunday. She was 28 years old.
She was born in Rio de Janeiro to Rabbi Avraham Meir and Margalit Berkes, and moved to Sao Paolo following her marriage to Rabbi AvrohomStiefelmann. She and her husband served the Knesset Israel community in the city, and she was co-director of the CTeen network there, creating and supervising programs and activities for Jewish teens.
She is survived by her husband, their children, and by her parents and siblings.
The funeral took place today in SaoPaulo.
